Gentle liquids Q&A
Even though it sounds like a scary virus, Dip Flu can be a sensitivity or allergic reaction that some users might experience from the odor that Dip Liquids can produce. Symptoms might include a stuffy nose, watery eyes, or in rare cases, even agitation around the nails.
Not at all! It’s a very small % of folks who do their own manis that have a reaction to the odors.
Absolutely NOT!
We alwayssss make sure our products are safe for you all before we even come close to releasing them. However, there is a small % of folks whose noses don’t play nice with our liquids, so that’s why it was so important for us to get you all an alternative if you need it!
We have gotten some AMAZING reviews from test groups that specifically have struggled with Dip Flu in the past! We’re looking forward to providing those of you who do struggle with Dip Flu a healthy way to continue using the Peppi Products that we’ve all grown to love so much!
We found it the best way to completely alleviate symptoms of dip flu for most users. Since HEMA is the #1 allergen found in gel liquids, we made sure our Gentle Gel Topcoat is HEMA-free just like all of the other gel liquids and polishes on our line!
No!
Step 1 & 2 don’t need anyyyy curing, just apply the same way that you would our traditional Step 1 & 2!
Step 3 only requires 60 seconds of curing under a UV/LED light, but it’s worth noting our Gel Topcoat is veryyyy different from our Gel Polishes. It’s farrrr less thick, which means 60 seconds of curing and you’re done!
We wanted to eliminate symptoms of dip flu for users who would like a more comfortable experience when doing their nails, while keeping the speediness of traditional liquids for those who love this method!
Having a slower dry time creates smoother, more even coverage and more control over your manis.
Even the most experienced users sometimes find that they would like to use a slower drying base when working with heavy glitters or creating ombre manis!
You can absolutely use our traditional Step 3 with our new Steps 1 and 2!
However, our Gel Top Coat is the safest way to cut down on the odors in our traditional liquids that struggle with Dip Flu.
The only differences between our traditional dip liquids are the slower dry time that may create a little bit of a learning curve if you’re not used to it, and our Gentle Topcoat which is a Gel Topcoat that does need to be cured with a UV/LED light. (Gentle Steps 1 and 2 do not need to be cured.)
Yes, they are still durable, long lasting, chip resistant, vegan & cruelty-free!
File or buff off all of the shine from the Gel Topcoat and then soak off or remove the rest with your preferred method, as usual!
