The Gel-Dip Method
1. Prep your nails by pushing back cuticles, lightly buffing the nail surface, and washing your hands to remove any oils or dust.
2. Apply a thin and even layer of base gel to the entire nail, avoiding the cuticle. Cure for 60 seconds if using LED- or 2 minutes for UV-Lights. The base gel will remain tacky even after being cured, avoid touching this area to get the best adhesion.
3. Apply another layer of base gel to the entire nail, avoiding the cuticle. Dip your nail flat into your selected powder. Use a wooden pusher to fix any imperfections, then cure for 60 seconds if using LED- or 2 minutes for UV-Lights.
4. Brush off any excess powder and repeat the process until you reach your desired coverage.
5. Finish the manicure by adding 2 coats of our Diamond Gel Topcoat. Cure for 60 seconds if using LED- or 2 minutes for UV-Lights.
Nail Prep
Like building a house, if the foundation isn't set it won't stand up. Order of nail prep 100% MATTERS!
1. Wash Your Hands
Begin by washing your hands with an oil-free soap. We highly recommend using the original Blue Dawn dish soap to effectively remove oils from your nail beds.
2. Dry Your Hands
After washing, dry your hands thoroughly.
3. Push Back Cuticles
Push your cuticles back, ensuring you remove the invisible cuticle from your nail beds. Do not use a cuticle removing aid, as these are often very oily and can cause lifting.
4. Cut, File, and Shape Your Nails
Trim your nails to the desired length, then file and shape them as needed.
5. Swipe Acetone Across Nail Beds
Use acetone to swipe across your nail beds, drying them out to prepare for the next steps.
6. Lightly Buff the Nails
Lightly buff your nails to create a texture that helps Peppi Gel adhere properly. Be careful not to over-buff, as this can thin your nail beds.
7. Wait Before Starting Application
If you find that you don’t need to follow all these steps, wait at least 10-15 minutes after washing your hands before starting your application. Nails are porous and hold moisture, and they need to be thoroughly dried to prevent lifting.
Bottle Care
This is the MOST important thing you can learn right away. It's crucial for you to understand how the Peppi Gel system works before you even begin.
Your #2 (Set) is the CURING agent of your whole entire Peppi Gel system. It's job is to cure both the #1 (Ready) and the #3 (Shine) no matter what surface it's on (your nails, the bottle brushes, etc....). Proper application and bottle care methods will prevent the most common mistakes that lead to a hardened application brush or worse an entire goopy/solidified bottle of #1 or #3.
Your #1 (Ready) and #3 (Shine) are like adhesives. If these liquids touch the top of the bottle rim or sides of the bottle neck, they will essentially get glued shut. Use your INSIDE brush wiper to prevent this from happening.
Removal
Peppi Gel is actually super easy to remove. We offer a soaker bowl to make this process simple for you and eliminate waste. However, checkout out the video below. While using this method, just take notes, our soaker bowl works exactly the same!
